Here's what I created for this challenge:

Recently, I had to create a thank you card and I wanted to make something with bright, lively colors. First I covered a piece of card stock with Mustard Seed Distress Ink. I took a Recollection writing stamp and stamped it with Memento Ink. I then embossed a dandelion stamp with clear embossing powder. Honestly, the flags were the most complicated part of this card, but I just love this stitching! I added the small Thank You stamp to finish the card off.

This is a fairly simple embossed card and I want to see what you all come up with. Make sure you join in on the fun!!

My boyfriend's friend Mac is a huge fan of snowboarding. When he's not in the lab playing chemist extraordinaire, he's up on some snowy mountain, testing fate by deciding which steep hill to ride down. Personally, you would never find me doing this, but he's good at this extreme sport. For his birthday, I wanted to make him a card that celebrated his spirit for adventure.

The snowboarder is from Pink Cat Studio and I just LOVE their digistamps. This one is called Billy Snowboarder. I used copics to color him in. Then I embossed a separate piece of white card stock with a snow folder and colored the edges blue with distress ink. I then took a Hero Arts snowflake stamp pack and glitter embossed it around the card. I ended it with just a simple "Birthday" sentiment on the bottom. I realized that I just HAD to add an action wobble for fun so that's what I did.

Do any of you ski or snowboard?

A few weeks ago, Pam from scrap-n-sewgranny.blogspot.com won my blog redesign giveaway and I sent her a $25 Michael's giftcard. What I soon found out was what an incredibly nice person she was! We chatted a whole lot about Disney because she told me she worked there when she was in college. Also her Dad was an electrician and helped build the Contemporary Hotel in Disney World! She was actually one of the few people who got to experience the park before it opened to the public! How insane is that? I was super jealous!

For her card, I looked to the Neapolitan Paper pack I recently purchased. There was a page with mason jars and I cut three individual jars out. I put them over the chevron pattern. For the middle jar, I added some twine and stamped the sentiment, "Happy Day" using a Memento ink pad so it would match the colors.

Pam has since told me of all the great things she's gotten with her giftcard so I'm super happy about that! Be sure to check out her page!

Recently, my boyfriend's best friend Tony came to New York for a month. He got married and moved to Australia a couple of years ago because that is where his lovely wife, Liah is from. It was so nice to get to see them and hang out again. Also, I was able to meet their two new babies, Rocco and Sofia. They are the epitome of adorable and I wanted to keep them!! The babies were brought on their first trip to America to meet their father's side of the family and also for their Christening. This is the card I made to go with their gift.

I used the Nursery Rhymes cartridge because this looked like a brother and sister running together. Rocco and Sofia are very close in age so I'm sure they'll be very close. The sentiment was cut from the Beyond Birthdays cartridge and I added some butterflies just because I thought it was cute. On the inside, I used two Studio G stamps I've had forever and the "All You Need Is Love" sentiment was used because Tony is the biggest Beatles fan I know.

Little Rocco posed for me. I love his curls!!
I call her Sofia the first! (Disney joke) Those eyes will make you melt!

I wanted to make an Easter card for my boyfriend's mom. She is the only person I know who actually likes Peeps so I bought her a box and made her this card. I embossed the background with a swirly rubber stamp and Tim Holtz embossing powder. I used the chick from the Create a Critter 2 cartridge and Martha Stewart paper punch for the borders.  I used some Distress Ink for the second border and stamped the sentiment.

I really hope you all join in on the fun since I know just how many cartridges and stamps out there have puns!

Have a happy Easter everyone!
