This summer, JP and I made the decision to hire a babysitter for the afternoons and it was honestly, the best thing we could have done for both our son and our sanity! I've been able to get work done uninterrupted knowing he was in good hands either at the park or splashing in his pool in the backyard. I was worried about how he would get along with someone who was essentially a stranger, but being a teacher herself, she was SO good with him and he really got along so well with her. (he talked about her a lot over the weekends š) </div><p></p><p style="text-align: left;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: left;">Sadly though, with the school year approaching, her days with us were coming to an end. I wanted to make something to show our deep appreciation so along with some goodies, I knew I wanted to make a card. The crayons are from Lawn Fawn and I couldn't wait to finally have an excuse to use them. I used copics to color them and placed a smiley face on one of them. Instead of using the sentiment that came with them, I went with this one from Mama Elephant. To finish it off, I let my son decorate the inside. </p></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy-lXBiYqWUOZTg2h301VxjLwB0iL7MqmhvXmp6mLWZWlah-yX1ImifJ9mK9-BpfFlxP_tOmdHNnE34GkuIXzaI2Oeva2p2LM5Kzs-5DsH-7aN8X4OX75vTm2xIL75KX13tdhhI1tst8oFvspMmU0nbbfXjW25mTO75IjsHztZfQ5GFymY0lbR1jIf/s4032/D578B81B-210A-4E45-9D02-8846C08B42D4.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy-lXBiYqWUOZTg2h301VxjLwB0iL7MqmhvXmp6mLWZWlah-yX1ImifJ9mK9-BpfFlxP_tOmdHNnE34GkuIXzaI2Oeva2p2LM5Kzs-5DsH-7aN8X4OX75vTm2xIL75KX13tdhhI1tst8oFvspMmU0nbbfXjW25mTO75IjsHztZfQ5GFymY0lbR1jIf/w300-h400/D578B81B-210A-4E45-9D02-8846C08B42D4.jpeg" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzQsIVwNKLsDDiHyOBK_PSUE4ieqovXX_a7B0qyUWt_w7VqwiHbf35NG0DmXgP4SiO2V_Z1f6kiNoR0qHTSZ553CUQQLCeGPP9aUnFm33fsHu3x94oQF_EpTq0B3_uqE0YN0Nykr3YS9OHLpEpI6Wjl_-aWQywAO729EmkbeGvNDOXAu9o-tBnG31f/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="221" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzQsIVwNKLsDDiHyOBK_PSUE4ieqovXX_a7B0qyUWt_w7VqwiHbf35NG0DmXgP4SiO2V_Z1f6kiNoR0qHTSZ553CUQQLCeGPP9aUnFm33fsHu3x94oQF_EpTq0B3_uqE0YN0Nykr3YS9OHLpEpI6Wjl_-aWQywAO729EmkbeGvNDOXAu9o-tBnG31f/w400-h221/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-32892832115237979022022-08-18T15:05:00.000-04:002022-08-18T15:05:07.169-04:00Overdue Thank You<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">Well, that was a bit of a hiatus... There was so much going on the last couple of months that it was impossible to sit down and craft. I even had to *gasp* purchase cards for some events which really annoys me. Last week I did a major cleaning of my desk so hopefully that will inspire me to get crafty again (because God knows I'm still PURCHASING crafting supplies....)</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div><p></p><p>This card was waaaay overdue. It's also the first one I've made in almost 4 months so I had to ease my way back in. The background was made with a stencil I got for my birthday from Waffle Flower. I wanted to make something colorful and upbeat. I thought about dry embossing glitter instead, but I figured I should stick to something foolproof. I'm not sure where the sentiment is from, but I made it in two tones of Blue since this is a thank you card for an incredibly sweet coworker that sent me some Bluey merch for my son. (we're wackadoo obsessed over here, kids) I thought of adding sparkles or embellishments, but then I thought it looked complete as a simple card. </p><p><br /></p><p>Have you watched Bluey? It's a daily occurrence in this house and it helps that the show is entertaining for both kids and adults. My husband says it's the Seinfeld of preschool shows. š</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoYDsTJY84UN0sfmwm2PB30tPGWL_anqpmyFSyb9LQ4vGqD1Q47i_UjdCBrxNR5NFl3CBtbwZWw7uV_BhzQK8gQTlf4Jqw4p8nqQVyBevO-Sl5TWGIau9lyiJ6cHuKCCC8eL3r5sM3lUqZhbPphl6eEV_SoCRPiTusdjtihU5CINP6s1NDbpON3OVh/s4032/6698580F-5979-471D-926E-054383B82D07.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoYDsTJY84UN0sfmwm2PB30tPGWL_anqpmyFSyb9LQ4vGqD1Q47i_UjdCBrxNR5NFl3CBtbwZWw7uV_BhzQK8gQTlf4Jqw4p8nqQVyBevO-Sl5TWGIau9lyiJ6cHuKCCC8eL3r5sM3lUqZhbPphl6eEV_SoCRPiTusdjtihU5CINP6s1NDbpON3OVh/w400-h300/6698580F-5979-471D-926E-054383B82D07.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div><p></p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhcw7z7YFDbKNs72Id7_ZUa93GUo90JDFSXaj3RQc1JCRivtG8dUANMvya84do3S6WdZfh2yf65CneBPg-XZMtdZkYcTbpNY-yHegPwYTsvgql_JM71yjEk8BNO86W4GUrqTieU2-YS8JiNiqLEGJ0QgYmr_K-H_051_w-QkeDg02eeu9BP55ROPwK/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="221" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhcw7z7YFDbKNs72Id7_ZUa93GUo90JDFSXaj3RQc1JCRivtG8dUANMvya84do3S6WdZfh2yf65CneBPg-XZMtdZkYcTbpNY-yHegPwYTsvgql_JM71yjEk8BNO86W4GUrqTieU2-YS8JiNiqLEGJ0QgYmr_K-H_051_w-QkeDg02eeu9BP55ROPwK/w400-h221/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-68105869910896666242022-04-12T00:27:00.003-04:002022-04-12T00:30:06.262-04:00A Kawaii Hello<p>This bunny card was made for my friend Rachel. When I first started crafting years ago, her website was one I would go to for inspiration. She was always winning card challenges and for a newbie like myself, getting to her level was something to aspire to! Fast forward a couple of years, I realized we actually had more in common than just crafting (including living quite close to each other!) We'd leave comments on each other's blogs but with the introduction of social media, we actually started having real conversations. She's such a close friend at this point despite the fact that we've never actually met face to face! Hopefully if this pandemic ever calms down, we can leave the kids with their dads and have a proper craft day.</p><p><br /></p><p>I wanted to send her a card to say hello and Happy Spring. I was also sending her a Tuxedo Sam memo pad because we talked about how much we like Sanrio and I honestly don't know anyone else into Sanrio and Kawaii stationary. (Pochacco 4 lyfe!) This cute set was from Darcie's Stamps and it was quite fun to copic color. The sentiment, cut from glitter paper is from Lawn Fawn. </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYV62iE-A0EcRto1OSECNa_W1TwRZGW71NarBmIgeITfnF4E2jbDyrUjlqqQN4stiWUz4TUzfuHOxOYTGGxiAcw5F9KOwCTE_0h0kFGGa2k6xFvNBF_hJJ6zOoP6AJhMnrGn16nMxry2bci1Jdo2kX3lwFbE0fpRQmOZQ3WDUqJHyTEPxXzpmGArN8/s4032/9FCDD5DF-6EB3-4958-B128-E3C2FDE40C9A.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYV62iE-A0EcRto1OSECNa_W1TwRZGW71NarBmIgeITfnF4E2jbDyrUjlqqQN4stiWUz4TUzfuHOxOYTGGxiAcw5F9KOwCTE_0h0kFGGa2k6xFvNBF_hJJ6zOoP6AJhMnrGn16nMxry2bci1Jdo2kX3lwFbE0fpRQmOZQ3WDUqJHyTEPxXzpmGArN8/w300-h400/9FCDD5DF-6EB3-4958-B128-E3C2FDE40C9A.jpeg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRvd2GPrnEiV-_Gf325i-AfO5FfqKzSuv7Tigtw7x-RkDbDiwZV873oryfUWAl2c9gShYelSU5ULPkCYO9pdzL5lgIPJSt6hVNMrO2tnd0y0T3lMjksT5OrJI1pMRjqSd4Oo3pU3NmxUEwFtEcHpAjhcQ8QHZ9RkiZVBIy979mFE_Ga_b7TURl38Gt/s4032/D01B27D1-EAB6-4A2E-9295-67516E8C0654.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRvd2GPrnEiV-_Gf325i-AfO5FfqKzSuv7Tigtw7x-RkDbDiwZV873oryfUWAl2c9gShYelSU5ULPkCYO9pdzL5lgIPJSt6hVNMrO2tnd0y0T3lMjksT5OrJI1pMRjqSd4Oo3pU3NmxUEwFtEcHpAjhcQ8QHZ9RkiZVBIy979mFE_Ga_b7TURl38Gt/w300-h400/D01B27D1-EAB6-4A2E-9295-67516E8C0654.jpeg" width="300" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEih4cj9R4aKAMQ8DBn-xJGtLhXFIyBdmW1WO6N_dqhJ6uTdUrRu0a696mX1Cbspu8m1XSG166bPdQio-ZtDa8_LBDeOIwzowuD6dIUf-u_mMfrNYqhel3uyHEn8KhwpuDfqVQVTCw7sZWaUUUutUgp99PLGuMcPuczMaUvbHTIUquAkVofOraH2tg4r" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="" data-original-height="564" data-original-width="564" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEih4cj9R4aKAMQ8DBn-xJGtLhXFIyBdmW1WO6N_dqhJ6uTdUrRu0a696mX1Cbspu8m1XSG166bPdQio-ZtDa8_LBDeOIwzowuD6dIUf-u_mMfrNYqhel3uyHEn8KhwpuDfqVQVTCw7sZWaUUUutUgp99PLGuMcPuczMaUvbHTIUquAkVofOraH2tg4r" width="240" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Happy Spring from Pochacco!</td></tr></tbody></table><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxIXApssf8qHMRPYS62r4-j5Xo8PfXKS1BUFqIwOAZhJ6qtY1wwL8HfU6PTHPCrDL7dxHKEvvwFvIm__6Dg7FwaIaQedQsHu-uwhCUZpDUIrIyfL0cwCKiPbapZ2IIgXPu2pEsBgt7n1M5Ze5k_j0x0Q4GHK6dZ7SX4mo1DbqCjbBcgNp3he9g5J9w/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="177" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxIXApssf8qHMRPYS62r4-j5Xo8PfXKS1BUFqIwOAZhJ6qtY1wwL8HfU6PTHPCrDL7dxHKEvvwFvIm__6Dg7FwaIaQedQsHu-uwhCUZpDUIrIyfL0cwCKiPbapZ2IIgXPu2pEsBgt7n1M5Ze5k_j0x0Q4GHK6dZ7SX4mo1DbqCjbBcgNp3he9g5J9w/s320/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-43720466100414749982022-04-01T22:26:00.000-04:002022-04-01T22:26:09.203-04:00Welcome Baby Girl! <p>Recently, I had to make a card for my husband's cousin who is having a girl! I had gotten these adorable bunnies on a cloud stamp set from Mama Elephant so I knew I wanted to make something with them.</p><p><br /></p><p>To begin, I created a pink cloud background with Picked Raspberry and Kitsch Flamingo distress oxide. I added one of the stamps (I got the dies with it so it was so easy to cut!) and stamped the sentiment below it. I was already really excited because I had purchased embellishments from Trinity Stamps so long ago but kept forgetting to use them. This color palette was perfect so I added them randomly around the stamp. I think it gave the whole thing an extra pop. I really liked how this simple and sweet card turned out!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjZSf12uwBLUVjXc1kEghRdFEzw8oa1XXe6Qxol2GuQe1h-YSbEPtnv8CIuSNH0l46x6RWnS-qquXy-Cd-lVd00YESg-VSoOZsiCk9mEKhaHSU1ZIOUTB7d5rOTWJktAeezQXGm2_m5uGTFckq_eLmjLh1Cn9MasrdUfLFh87Gs_hmE2cTL_tdroZW5=s3439" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3439" data-original-width="2756" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjZSf12uwBLUVjXc1kEghRdFEzw8oa1XXe6Qxol2GuQe1h-YSbEPtnv8CIuSNH0l46x6RWnS-qquXy-Cd-lVd00YESg-VSoOZsiCk9mEKhaHSU1ZIOUTB7d5rOTWJktAeezQXGm2_m5uGTFckq_eLmjLh1Cn9MasrdUfLFh87Gs_hmE2cTL_tdroZW5=w320-h400" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAkQOUWl3dJY3Va6d7v0s4ma-nINmjHk6U8s6zaqH7FBHqKjSlCHON8lbEkgTWXzrL499Q_m6tIcTX03lI0A7iliEMznVppZi06101SCtl0r86Lx0wk-IsD1OTbQwHtQmNQMoVCRn_cBdmbJdrX5Z8tvyz_emEUSIdVHFqAkFm1uwJf2JiQsnm8kQW/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="177" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAkQOUWl3dJY3Va6d7v0s4ma-nINmjHk6U8s6zaqH7FBHqKjSlCHON8lbEkgTWXzrL499Q_m6tIcTX03lI0A7iliEMznVppZi06101SCtl0r86Lx0wk-IsD1OTbQwHtQmNQMoVCRn_cBdmbJdrX5Z8tvyz_emEUSIdVHFqAkFm1uwJf2JiQsnm8kQW/s320/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-61718065726871646592022-02-18T22:55:00.001-05:002022-02-18T22:55:34.284-05:00A Muggle Birthday!<p>This card was made for my sister-in-law who is a big Harry Potter fan. I was trying to decide what kind to make and really wanted to keep it simple and classy. I also wanted to use my distress oxides but not flood the entire card with it. So I did a few messy swipes with Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade and Scattered Straw, trying to showcase Gryffindor colors. I also (for the very first time!) messed with water and the oxides using a paintbrush. I simply dabbed it very lightly and honestly, I could have done more, but I was paranoid it would oversaturate the cardstock. Maybe I'll get a little more adventurous with my next attempt! I added a little Harry and Hedwig below and colored those with copics. They are (of course) from The Sassy Club. The banner was from a set I got months ago from Concord and 9th and I really wondered why it had taken me so long to use it! </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEizHPQeD-cpQrsnpA1HiWO4frc_KNYtAVnISUc7359kckgeGFZMtmNFGYwJkafSCivpdP9qxpgTfjQ5qySEKB-GyVtUleWDWsLBx8bvzJlzrFwd0P0e7UAchrPyFA4FlHfNnouAVoARPGJvgDZBq3g3XtJkaQds4csDZVFqs8zkqEKF7u3k6Hik4KVM=s4032" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEizHPQeD-cpQrsnpA1HiWO4frc_KNYtAVnISUc7359kckgeGFZMtmNFGYwJkafSCivpdP9qxpgTfjQ5qySEKB-GyVtUleWDWsLBx8bvzJlzrFwd0P0e7UAchrPyFA4FlHfNnouAVoARPGJvgDZBq3g3XtJkaQds4csDZVFqs8zkqEKF7u3k6Hik4KVM=w300-h400" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhQkqSJzxKKLbV6uSnqKsOF4wlOp2s6Yx52Dtg1wZ7P-DND3gb_ZhTaePebZSxnsDYMXVJKvoFWp1r2okKZTrZf1PO3CBxm8mh3diOTw7XzRkMJAN2h3CD1vrSi_KURQAetLB1iIt3nl-6JMH8Znfl1rvQpulSLCpAeJ5xWHFLKzlcjjXQJSWtiVlzr=s504" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="221" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhQkqSJzxKKLbV6uSnqKsOF4wlOp2s6Yx52Dtg1wZ7P-DND3gb_ZhTaePebZSxnsDYMXVJKvoFWp1r2okKZTrZf1PO3CBxm8mh3diOTw7XzRkMJAN2h3CD1vrSi_KURQAetLB1iIt3nl-6JMH8Znfl1rvQpulSLCpAeJ5xWHFLKzlcjjXQJSWtiVlzr=w400-h221" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-81194182197912431112022-02-08T23:47:00.000-05:002022-02-08T23:47:29.383-05:00Parlez Vous FranƧais?<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;">For this next card, I wanted to do something different and make a postcard. My friend Scott has a fancy job working in Paris. (he's an animator on the new Super Mario Brothers movie!) He was kind enough to indulge my massive Disney pin addiction and purchase two really cool villain pins when he was at Disneyland Paris. Were we not currently in a pandemic, I would have shown up on his doorstep a long time ago pretending to be Emily in Paris except instead of showcasing an amazing wardrobe, I'd have colorful Mickey ears. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><p></p><p style="text-align: left;">For the postcard, I used a Mickey stencil from The Sassy Club to try and create an ombre look with different colors, but it kept turning into a disaster no matter how much masking I used. So I chucked it and decided to go with a very simple color palate. The castle is from a Sassy stamp set and the words are from Simon Says Stamp. It still looked a little bare, so I used Squeezed Lemon distress oxide on a border.</p><p style="text-align: left;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: left;">For the other side, I created a stamp also from a Sassy set (she has the best Disney stamps) and then used my fanciest script writing to make it look sophisticated. I snapped this photo before writing out my note to him. I also blurred out his last name for this post. And of course, I had to include a picture of the pins! Paris had a really awesome villains release last Halloween. They glow in the dark! </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjFKOo6lohVhQ7Tf8xd1plPGocX7K2RKRjFhhgdi_cBfPWgERzaAxW86ueXEDBqqN2vS3MDs5nuomM1jCfK3lu93vyi4dW0890w1fZpaXHj3NwSvT5leqmodCh1O96BLyg1cYF6gS4K8ppwHG5X1ie0l6X6zZjXCqeniTBO4DDQohPt_oypEhsdJM2h=s4032" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjFKOo6lohVhQ7Tf8xd1plPGocX7K2RKRjFhhgdi_cBfPWgERzaAxW86ueXEDBqqN2vS3MDs5nuomM1jCfK3lu93vyi4dW0890w1fZpaXHj3NwSvT5leqmodCh1O96BLyg1cYF6gS4K8ppwHG5X1ie0l6X6zZjXCqeniTBO4DDQohPt_oypEhsdJM2h=w400-h300" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhjYXsc98d1JLt1d3qXxJkDXVYyaKYdhw-pjOM_UGOK8t_qdI2mRJivivZlwPPJlULx-tNzdLFldHXA1YfxSflhID9jAzEeLKC8FtPgjXBJThO_Hd5QN2iN2Gg2XbS5UEeu2BU82OZTX395yzW2Jjp_TsMq_fI1m_pPVC4sVv2wHNme-B_iSk64m8oP=s2100" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1574" data-original-width="2100" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhjYXsc98d1JLt1d3qXxJkDXVYyaKYdhw-pjOM_UGOK8t_qdI2mRJivivZlwPPJlULx-tNzdLFldHXA1YfxSflhID9jAzEeLKC8FtPgjXBJThO_Hd5QN2iN2Gg2XbS5UEeu2BU82OZTX395yzW2Jjp_TsMq_fI1m_pPVC4sVv2wHNme-B_iSk64m8oP=w400-h300" width="400" /></a><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgFHLRYR8rwy2Pgo1hVGILfK1AJlI1kMwsALdBrKvKN7lTXoLSF8ix7WD6Yqrb1Oiwb7QARgZSUO_Z96zN5d61hILksZB1rivAYEfGCkDeZ0itTRS5-TJ7FykvnJ-4_0_KlAocc_tC2iHWoOprVlXPcrwzXK_1XwfVuU1VdJS2SnNXQ2trRUMyig5qz=s828" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="611" data-original-width="828" height="295" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgFHLRYR8rwy2Pgo1hVGILfK1AJlI1kMwsALdBrKvKN7lTXoLSF8ix7WD6Yqrb1Oiwb7QARgZSUO_Z96zN5d61hILksZB1rivAYEfGCkDeZ0itTRS5-TJ7FykvnJ-4_0_KlAocc_tC2iHWoOprVlXPcrwzXK_1XwfVuU1VdJS2SnNXQ2trRUMyig5qz=w400-h295" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Unfortunately, my current pin collection is in storage or I would post a picture of that as well. I really never toot my own horn, but I have to say, I was REALLY happy with how this batch came out. I spent a really long time just copic coloring pages and pages of nutcrackers and penguins but I finally forced myself to cut them out and start assembling. I also have SO many holiday stamps and embellishments that I didn't even come close to using everything. As a result, I'm going to do my best to remember the particulars of these cards!</p><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Va4umgGNHKA/YbGLtYmm5rI/AAAAAAAAKU8/By-6bHCfzB4FjREN81nQUCsKEoBWQupNACNcBGAsYHQ/s545/Skull.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="545" data-original-width="407" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Va4umgGNHKA/YbGLtYmm5rI/AAAAAAAAKU8/By-6bHCfzB4FjREN81nQUCsKEoBWQupNACNcBGAsYHQ/w299-h400/Skull.png" width="299" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>This first card I made for a friend of mine who is currently working and living in Paris! I wanted to send him a card and some candy since Halloween isn't really a big thing over there. Of course, due to our crazy postal system, it got there closer to December... But whatever. This stamp was one I bought AGES ago at Michael's and finally got to use. I tried to distress it a bit with Black Soot Distress ink and kept the coloring basic. I don't remember where the background cardstock was from though, but I'm willing to bet that came from Michael's too!</div> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nqKBogYPZ7g/YbGL5siRkzI/AAAAAAAAKVE/o3MK2pI58ogoR6w9LrP_BD2gDxF8oJnzACNcBGAsYHQ/s513/Wicked2.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="408" data-original-width="513" height="319" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nqKBogYPZ7g/YbGL5siRkzI/AAAAAAAAKVE/o3MK2pI58ogoR6w9LrP_BD2gDxF8oJnzACNcBGAsYHQ/w400-h319/Wicked2.png" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XBLxNefHaTA/YbGL5t01f6I/AAAAAAAAKVA/23eVCJlcfJ4fs0lwFmzvdyMFxn3F5P9xQCNcBGAsYHQ/s418/Wicked1.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="330" data-original-width="418" height="316" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XBLxNefHaTA/YbGL5t01f6I/AAAAAAAAKVA/23eVCJlcfJ4fs0lwFmzvdyMFxn3F5P9xQCNcBGAsYHQ/w400-h316/Wicked1.png" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>My last post had gotten me thinking about the wicked stepsisters from Cinderella and I remembered that I ordered these awesome stamps from Sandra at The Sassy Club last summer. I played around with some backgrounds and die cut letters. Unfortunately, you can't really tell from the photos, but I was really proud how this coloring and blending came out- especially since I eyeballed all of my combos. (after lots of test swatches) The one thing is that I wish her stamps had accompanying dies because fussy cutting is so hard and annoying. Those corners are tricky!</p><p><br /></p><p>I'm slowly starting my Christmas cards. Every year I tell myself I'll do it early and every year I'm always scrambling to finish. Maybe I'll get some Christmas magic in the form of free time soon!</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dGlftgPRMzE/YbGPq0Or9FI/AAAAAAAAKVY/L8fev_zkFKAQ2GCeFuPTxFSUxi657eVegCPcBGAsYHg/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="221" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dGlftgPRMzE/YbGPq0Or9FI/AAAAAAAAKVY/L8fev_zkFKAQ2GCeFuPTxFSUxi657eVegCPcBGAsYHg/w400-h221/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-67579135315904859832021-10-07T10:38:00.002-04:002021-10-07T10:38:42.913-04:0010 Year Crafting Anniversary!<p>So a few months ago, I realized I was coming up on my 10 year blogger anniversary. That's a long time! Of course, I've been doing some sort of crafts for much longer than that, but 10 years ago, I decided to start keeping track of my creations. </p><p><br /></p><p>And some of those early cards are *cringeworthy* But it shows me just how far I've come and I'm grateful for that.</p><p><br /></p><p>The other day was World Card-Making Day and I posted a picture of my desk on IG. As always, it's cluttered and messy, but I feel no matter how much room I have, I'll always have that problem.</p><p><br /></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jPGLzJkfPBo/YV8EfUvnM0I/AAAAAAAAKJg/vOOsbdz9zmQM6C1vrONHfcmUTiVSEHOlACNcBGAsYHQ/s640/Desk.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jPGLzJkfPBo/YV8EfUvnM0I/AAAAAAAAKJg/vOOsbdz9zmQM6C1vrONHfcmUTiVSEHOlACNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/Desk.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p>That's not to say that I don't dream of having a big craft room one day, but for now, this is just fine. This weekend, I'm going to a<span> craft store on Long Island</span> so I'm going to do a post about it. I know it's been a long time since I've blogged about any craft excursions and I'm treating myself to celebrate 10 years. Happy Craftiversary (is that a thing?) to me!</p><p><br /></p><p>Stay tuned!</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LlI4_vLBaaQ/YV8FbEQ8GcI/AAAAAAAAKJo/QQbWX3PXA1ccQZWVH64FcNagAaKW5uHbgCPcBGAsYHg/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="221" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LlI4_vLBaaQ/YV8FbEQ8GcI/AAAAAAAAKJo/QQbWX3PXA1ccQZWVH64FcNagAaKW5uHbgCPcBGAsYHg/w400-h221/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-46127583395509370522021-09-21T21:23:00.004-04:002021-09-21T21:23:43.616-04:00A Very Penguin Birthday<p> September is very a busy time around here! So many important Virgos in my life so it calls for more birthday cards. I took the Penguin Party stamp set from My Favorite Things and went to town. I really love this Stacey Yacula design and honestly, <a href="https://www.staceyyacula.com/" target="_blank">looking at her portfolio</a>, you'll find SO many cute critters. I'm a sucker for these!</p><p><br /></p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V2giNXbCMHE/YUqA0lF2iZI/AAAAAAAAKHQ/BJ5sq0Sjb3s5UmPcNBLSpWoT-Dv6kd7BQCNcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_7791.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V2giNXbCMHE/YUqA0lF2iZI/AAAAAAAAKHQ/BJ5sq0Sjb3s5UmPcNBLSpWoT-Dv6kd7BQCNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/IMG_7791.jpg" width="300" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr></tbody></table>My first card was kept very simple because I had to make a video for my work Instagram and I wanted to come up with something that was quick to craft. I am forever trying to find more crafters out there and I was hoping to find other card-makers (alas, none yet). It was also my first attempt at a video tutorial and I must say, my hat is off to the folks who do this every day. It was exhausting! =) I took a stencil and blended Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch oxide for the background. After coloring my critter with copics, I used 3D foam to pop him up. I then cut a sentiment strip from Simon Says Stamp to finish it off. <div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SGeVs1QI-Js/YUqA0lIzxLI/AAAAAAAAKHI/Ke5i4iGmi-UfQX1EtOVHEfI53KLXafGNgCNcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_7792.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SGeVs1QI-Js/YUqA0lIzxLI/AAAAAAAAKHI/Ke5i4iGmi-UfQX1EtOVHEfI53KLXafGNgCNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/IMG_7792.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>For the next one, I wanted to add a little something extra to the background. I heat embossed the polka dot stamp from Photo Play before pretty much following the same formula from above.</div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-J4alwowlPIs/YUqA0kORzVI/AAAAAAAAKHM/hmIR5sD6TqU3IG5jsnf7iay4Y33wN-_vgCNcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_7793.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-J4alwowlPIs/YUqA0kORzVI/AAAAAAAAKHM/hmIR5sD6TqU3IG5jsnf7iay4Y33wN-_vgCNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/IMG_7793.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>For my last card, I decided to try a different color palate. This background was created using Spun Sugar, Seedless Preserves and Picked Raspberry. I wanted to try the penguins with the cute banner too. In retrospect, I should have created some kind of platform so it doesn't look like they are floating in midair? Next time!</p><p><br /></p><p>Also, looking at these now, doesn't the color scheme remind you of something? =)</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-nSLN98S0yxE/YUqFMbAewPI/AAAAAAAAKH4/PxHe7iM8Y4EYlL9lFRv9byZ318GFic4ewCNcBGAsYHQ/image.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="415" data-original-width="559" height="238" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-nSLN98S0yxE/YUqFMbAewPI/AAAAAAAAKH4/PxHe7iM8Y4EYlL9lFRv9byZ318GFic4ewCNcBGAsYHQ/image.png" width="320" /></a></div></div><br /><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sIE8bhfFfLc/YUqD2vt8SQI/AAAAAAAAKHg/hOvvNL8bONAHaSBzW12Q9HNy1ZVRZIIcACPcBGAsYHg/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="221" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sIE8bhfFfLc/YUqD2vt8SQI/AAAAAAAAKHg/hOvvNL8bONAHaSBzW12Q9HNy1ZVRZIIcACPcBGAsYHg/w400-h221/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p></div>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-84150020579717290862021-08-30T11:00:00.000-04:002021-08-30T11:00:48.776-04:00Oh Boy!<p>These next two cards were really exciting for me to create. I had two separate friends tell me they were pregnant and it made me so happy because I know they are both going to make the most wonderful moms. </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RzaWAp-O8KQ/YN3lAWdhejI/AAAAAAAAJMU/zb_WAGJSw5kOeQqIGBwAhKNbEAQHcWGlQCNcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_6974.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RzaWAp-O8KQ/YN3lAWdhejI/AAAAAAAAJMU/zb_WAGJSw5kOeQqIGBwAhKNbEAQHcWGlQCNcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/IMG_6974.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>For the first card, I used the WaffleFlower Be Him stamp set. I am seriously having a love affair with these stamps (as you have seen in the past few entries) I put the sunglasses on this one since my friend lives in Florida so I'm sure this kid will have his fair share of sunnies! The distress background was created using Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio. I embossed the sentiment from a MFT set I got for free with one of my hauls. I used the Cool copic family markers for him and I did another one with the Warm colors. Both were challenging tbh. I'm still trying to make those grey blends look flawless. (P.S.- it's hard)</div><div><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4Uz9lgh7BnQ/YN3lBrmVIQI/AAAAAAAAJMY/LmPTUsq1wCgR9t1jE_6YusOCNgVjUVQMgCNcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_6991.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4Uz9lgh7BnQ/YN3lBrmVIQI/AAAAAAAAJMY/LmPTUsq1wCgR9t1jE_6YusOCNgVjUVQMgCNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/IMG_6991.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>For my next one, I cracked open my Hugs Make Everything Better set from MFT. I used this for my Father's Day cards and thought this was one would be great for this too. This background was a lot subtler and I used a small sentiment from MFT as well.</p><p><br /></p><p>Here's hoping this pandemic gets under control soon because I would hate to miss meeting these brand new babies!</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WfZDnE3C-J8/YSAUsThKCFI/AAAAAAAAKDA/3t3XRYxU1Pwl2JRBmaOdQsfx2XtD7gLBwCPcBGAsYHg/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="177" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WfZDnE3C-J8/YSAUsThKCFI/AAAAAAAAKDA/3t3XRYxU1Pwl2JRBmaOdQsfx2XtD7gLBwCPcBGAsYHg/s320/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-27905165816843246002021-08-23T16:10:00.000-04:002021-08-23T16:10:33.984-04:00Birthdays, Galore!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Since I am so behind with these cards, I'm just going to put all of the birthday cards I've made in one post! I know once folks get married, they tend to only celebrate their wedding date, but we were together for eight years before we got married, so I tend consider this June date the more important one.</p><p><br /></p><p>On our first date, we saw Disney Pixar's UP! so it's always been a very special movie for us. When I saw that Sandra from <a href="https://www.thesassyclub.com/" target="_blank">The Sassy Club</a> had stamps from the movie, I knew I had to grab them. </p><p><br /></p><p>First, I covered the card with a rainbow background using my distress oxides: Wilted Violet, Broken China, Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, Abandoned Coral. I didn't like that though. It just looked too much, so I grabbed a stencil from Waffle Flower and tried to recreate the effect. I messed up a little on the top, but at that point, I wasn't going to start over.</p><p><br /></p><p>I'm actually really proud of the Copic coloring that I did on these characters. They took me awhile to get just right, but I love the end result. I topped it all off with a CZ Design sentiment.</p><p><br /></p><p>Hope you all take the time to celebrate the special people in your life!</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JJyZ9x_M_sU/YN3g7SY3HyI/AAAAAAAAJLw/knvGT6bdNesSzfU3IYRfm0Iz_91oRvHgQCNcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_6988.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JJyZ9x_M_sU/YN3g7SY3HyI/AAAAAAAAJLw/knvGT6bdNesSzfU3IYRfm0Iz_91oRvHgQCNcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/IMG_6988.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-34979103754744229002021-06-03T23:08:00.001-04:002021-06-03T23:08:25.407-04:00Oh Mickey, You So Fine<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">In college, I had a second home with my best friend Kevin. His house was sort of like a safe haven where a bunch of us would retreat to when we needed a breather. His mom is one of the nicest I know and I loved to color with her. Long before Copics, I used to color with good old fashioned Crayola crayons and she'd have tons of Disney coloring books to choose from. It was so therapeutic and relaxing which is probably why I still love doing it today.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Kevin's parents are DVC members and I have so many wonderful memories of going to Disney World with his family. They were always the most fun vacations. So when I wanted to make something for his mom, I knew these Mickey stamps from The Sassy Club were perfect. There are no dies for these stamps so I had to fussy cut it, but I don't think it came out too bad?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I created the background with Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar distress oxide. I used one of the background stamps to create a border and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pH7gnCjeO6M/YI2T0V4285I/AAAAAAAAI_g/gfVn9eor9IA2UEgwhFwSpQ9bsaNI3YUwACNcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_6621.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pH7gnCjeO6M/YI2T0V4285I/AAAAAAAAI_g/gfVn9eor9IA2UEgwhFwSpQ9bsaNI3YUwACNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/IMG_6621.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IZlEvofLnKk/YLmYhROXpzI/AAAAAAAAJJA/8yTA8AmnTrMZtDA_u54K9WQMfA7uIrW5gCPcBGAsYHg/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="221" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IZlEvofLnKk/YLmYhROXpzI/AAAAAAAAJJA/8yTA8AmnTrMZtDA_u54K9WQMfA7uIrW5gCPcBGAsYHg/w400-h221/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p></p>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-50711795682317147882021-05-30T22:11:00.001-04:002021-05-30T22:11:29.258-04:00Happy Birthday to my Favorite Muggle<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My best friend Rachael's birthday is only a few days after my own. Every year, we have these great joint birthday parties that include roller skating to boy band music, bars and tiaras or karaoke. It's always a good time. Sadly, we haven't been able to do anything for the past two years, but I'm looking forward to next year. It'll be epic.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">She is my fangirl partner and expert in all things Harry Potter. When I was still only a few weeks pregnant, we took a trip to Universal and even though I couldn't ride anything, I still had a total blast with her. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Recently, I discovered Sandra of The Sassy Club and down the rabbit hole I went. There have been so many stamp sets I've purchased since then, but her Harry Potter sets are by far my favorite. The background was blended with Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. This set also came with footprints so I tried to recreate the ending credits of the third movie, but I think I was too neat with them. Either way, I'm glad with how it turned out. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I have a few more stamps from The Sassy Club to play with (so many really....) so I'm looking forward to future cards!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-uvd7sOcefko/YI2UA-iC04I/AAAAAAAAI_k/woDi69hc7iYTvT8_SaiplpE-AphAJLA-ACPcBGAsYHg/s3733/IMG_6641.HEIC" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2800" data-original-width="3733" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-uvd7sOcefko/YI2UA-iC04I/AAAAAAAAI_k/woDi69hc7iYTvT8_SaiplpE-AphAJLA-ACPcBGAsYHg/w400-h300/IMG_6641.HEIC" width="400" /></a></div><br /> <table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-jFionx4i0VM/YLRDrGL0lUI/AAAAAAAAJIg/mZw5chbcngwZKxSGXKsatNSaTJC7DOn8QCNcBGAsYHQ/image.png" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-jFionx4i0VM/YLRDrGL0lUI/AAAAAAAAJIg/mZw5chbcngwZKxSGXKsatNSaTJC7DOn8QCNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/image.png" width="300" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Birthday Girls!</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7N00zD5RvOI/YLREWGv-SbI/AAAAAAAAJIo/6qxJVwHnJhwvnUKOoVF4-5amggYVMP2lACPcBGAsYHg/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="221" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7N00zD5RvOI/YLREWGv-SbI/AAAAAAAAJIo/6qxJVwHnJhwvnUKOoVF4-5amggYVMP2lACPcBGAsYHg/w400-h221/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-80077160880297674962021-05-18T17:38:00.000-04:002021-05-18T17:38:01.613-04:00Ruby Anniversary<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Last month, we celebrated my in-law's 40th wedding anniversary. 40 is the ruby anniversary (my mother-in-law received beautiful ruby earrings from Tiffany's!) so we "kids" wanted to help them celebrate. We decorated the house and had food catered by their favorite restaurant. (The same place I got married, funny enough)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For their card, I had a different idea in mind, but time got away from me and I had to come up with something quick the night before. Last year, due to the pandemic, we celebrated his 70th birthday over facetime since he lives in a Veteran's home and they had closed the place to all visitors. This year, I thought we would be able to see him, but it was only through plexiglass and we weren't allowed to give him any of the presents or food we made him. Instead, a nurse collected all of our things and all we could do was wave. It was rough. While I am very grateful for the care he receives, the toll of this pandemic is starting to wear me thin. I'm hoping once the vaccine becomes more wildly available, normal visitations can resume.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For his card, I again created a distress heavy card. I love this sunset, but this time, I also created an ocean since my father is a Navy man. I used washi tape to create the horizon.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Sky colors: Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Ocean: Tumbled Glass, Broken China and some Black Soot in the edges</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I also took a white gel pen to create the waves. The sentiment is from an old Penny Black stamp set which I believe I've used for him before, but doesn't make it any less true!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hope that wherever you are, you're able to see and hold your loved ones soon! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sHu6sDdojUA/YI2TDmM8PTI/AAAAAAAAI_Q/qA6JK60MAI479xDJfAIzqc3YqUiXAZ3ZgCPcBGAsYHg/s4032/IMG_6478.HEIC" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sHu6sDdojUA/YI2TDmM8PTI/AAAAAAAAI_Q/qA6JK60MAI479xDJfAIzqc3YqUiXAZ3ZgCPcBGAsYHg/w480-h640/IMG_6478.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><br /> <table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-r9nyT7DWncU/YI4Gnoc1rbI/AAAAAAAAJAY/vSIm96Wgb48Dj51ZXJ90p7wKCwLlF6RxQCNcBGAsYHQ/s829/DD19C012-CAD3-4ACE-B3ED-077909456EB1.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="829" data-original-width="821" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-r9nyT7DWncU/YI4Gnoc1rbI/AAAAAAAAJAY/vSIm96Wgb48Dj51ZXJ90p7wKCwLlF6RxQCNcBGAsYHQ/w396-h400/DD19C012-CAD3-4ACE-B3ED-077909456EB1.jpeg" width="396" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Wasnāt he a cute sailor?</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mEx5oUXBLi0/YI2cbj_X-YI/AAAAAAAAI_0/SfRNXFkAJk09Y7bdAeQzCuuY-CzNaDdTwCPcBGAsYHg/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="221" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mEx5oUXBLi0/YI2cbj_X-YI/AAAAAAAAI_0/SfRNXFkAJk09Y7bdAeQzCuuY-CzNaDdTwCPcBGAsYHg/w400-h221/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p></p>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-10418988970908005502021-04-12T17:17:00.001-04:002021-04-12T17:17:34.410-04:00Baby Parade!<p>Later this month, I will be attending a baby shower over Zoom for my husband's cousin. She lives in Ohio and I've only met her a couple of times, but she really is the sweetest person so I wanted to make something special for her. She's having twin girls! (God bless her, haha)</p><p><br /></p><p>I was finally able to use the Party Parade stamps I got from Hello Bluebird a long time ago. I just love how versatile they are and I got the coordinating dies which made things so easy for me. I had to work on the Copic blends a couple of times before I found some combos I liked, but I still need to practice. The background was colored with Distress Oxides: Tumble Glass, Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6Vo84VgOyaI/YGp6ZN9x4hI/AAAAAAAAEiA/q7AqLTf5bkszCS01Zypcc7xlN3-hB6rbQCNcBGAsYHQ/s640/PartyParade.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6Vo84VgOyaI/YGp6ZN9x4hI/AAAAAAAAEiA/q7AqLTf5bkszCS01Zypcc7xlN3-hB6rbQCNcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/PartyParade.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L9pL9YRC4FI/YHS3_k4wIzI/AAAAAAAAEi8/Bbxv_bFutZkljdm7YhIUEpV2w3naF_ijQCPcBGAsYHg/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="221" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L9pL9YRC4FI/YHS3_k4wIzI/AAAAAAAAEi8/Bbxv_bFutZkljdm7YhIUEpV2w3naF_ijQCPcBGAsYHg/w400-h221/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-71299358322797062562021-04-04T22:42:00.002-04:002021-04-04T22:47:05.552-04:00Sunset Distress<p> I have been experiencing a love affair with these distress oxides lately. I know they are really different from the inks and I like how smoother and brighter they are.</p><p><br /></p><p>A few weeks ago, my husband and I were driving to pick up dinner and there was a spectacular sunset. It was just one of those you wish you could paint so I decided to try and recreate it.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dgVDMZWsthc/YGp27oniEdI/AAAAAAAAEhc/Kk9yFTPOVuMu_yAvy7tK6-aN3pzS5v2zwCNcBGAsYHQ/s640/Sunset.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dgVDMZWsthc/YGp27oniEdI/AAAAAAAAEhc/Kk9yFTPOVuMu_yAvy7tK6-aN3pzS5v2zwCNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/Sunset.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>Colors from the bottom: Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot.</p><p><br /></p><p>I still sometimes have a hard time blending Dusty Concord with Chipped Sapphire and I think my next purchase will be Wilted Violet since I've seen better blends with that combo. Regardless, I'm really proud of this!</p><p><br /></p><p>I grabbed my CZ Design Dude die cut once again because I just love it so much and used some holographic foil paper for the front cut. I also used a Simon sentiment strip which is much straighter now thanks to the Tim Holtz paper trimmer I got!</p><p><br /></p><p>I gave this to my husband since he was there when I was inspired and honestly, he really does spread happiness like confetti so it was only fitting!</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0EPiBLVY_ks/YGp5SwhUe3I/AAAAAAAAEhw/qtmNtCxsOUghTQYiaogTo65R5vVywQO2gCNcBGAsYHQ/s640/Brushes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="460" data-original-width="640" height="288" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0EPiBLVY_ks/YGp5SwhUe3I/AAAAAAAAEhw/qtmNtCxsOUghTQYiaogTo65R5vVywQO2gCNcBGAsYHQ/w400-h288/Brushes.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>As you can see, I have a lot of them now. More on that later) and I decided that I wanted to make something for my three best friends who I haven't seen in months. Lately, I've been hitting what everyone has been referring to as that "pandemic wall" and I just miss my girlfriends and all the fun we used to have together. Hopefully with vaccine rollouts, I'll be able to see them soon.</p><p><br /></p><p>I had asked what what their favorite colors were and they all gave me the same answer which made this very easy for me! I had recently purchased some word die cuts from Simon Says Stamp and I wanted to try them out.</p><p><br /></p><p>Distress oxides I blended for the backgrounds: Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire and Cracked Pistachio. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OD8xP1wExkw/YEkmoz0EbzI/AAAAAAAAEfA/Ta3KIzCpi_g-hGkUPODz0CVjUYwmsW3uACNcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_6158.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OD8xP1wExkw/YEkmoz0EbzI/AAAAAAAAEfA/Ta3KIzCpi_g-hGkUPODz0CVjUYwmsW3uACNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/IMG_6158.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>For this one, I used a heart stencil I got from Simon that works perfectly with A2 cards. The die cut is from <a href="https://www.cathyzielske.com/">CZ Design </a>and Cathy is honestly one of my favorite crafters to watch on youtube now. I learned to create dimension, you should cut three pieces and glue them together. I like these dies because they have the shadowed background too. </div><div><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KplDIPWLheY/YEkmowE_D8I/AAAAAAAAEe4/3kHF9Cbk1nsoIZnH7mYeBGWViuIwHpRlwCNcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_6159.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KplDIPWLheY/YEkmowE_D8I/AAAAAAAAEe4/3kHF9Cbk1nsoIZnH7mYeBGWViuIwHpRlwCNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/IMG_6159.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I used some washi tape to create a clean line with my blending here. I also used one of the Simon sentiment strips which was a little tricky to cut in a straight line, but I did my best. I couldn't resist this die cut either. I call everyone dude so I just had to have it.</div><div><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LhTuEguElZM/YEkmoy0Lh7I/AAAAAAAAEe8/tO5XF5OxRRk3EpiSpM46_y4dR2IdzRf0QCNcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_6160.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LhTuEguElZM/YEkmoy0Lh7I/AAAAAAAAEe8/tO5XF5OxRRk3EpiSpM46_y4dR2IdzRf0QCNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/IMG_6160.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><div><br /></div>For my last one, I blended a larger background with the distress oxides and I included a cat from a Michael's stamp pack I bought awhile ago. These cats are fun to Copic color so I've been practicing with them for awhile (and I knew my friend Monique loves cats). <div><br /></div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e3qF4bwn9M4/YEkmpXCAPfI/AAAAAAAAEfE/oz6AfhdjStQWd6sWpd6xGMS7i1uGtAnMgCNcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_6161.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e3qF4bwn9M4/YEkmpXCAPfI/AAAAAAAAEfE/oz6AfhdjStQWd6sWpd6xGMS7i1uGtAnMgCNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/IMG_6161.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>They all looked really nice when you put them together (much like my beautiful friends)</p><p><br /></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yN-MKu_uOtw/YFUWhrj3ZjI/AAAAAAAAEgM/aaCxUaqvxD4zaOSLN8kSDNjZKuKYu2bHgCPcBGAsYHg/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="221" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yN-MKu_uOtw/YFUWhrj3ZjI/AAAAAAAAEgM/aaCxUaqvxD4zaOSLN8kSDNjZKuKYu2bHgCPcBGAsYHg/w400-h221/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p></div>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-69405459788101223022021-02-14T10:55:00.001-05:002021-02-14T10:55:11.336-05:00Happy Galentineās Day!<p>With Valentine's Day coming up, I wanted to make cards for two coworkers that I miss very much now that we are all working remotely. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p>I used some of the new A2 cards that I ordered from Paper Source and these measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 which are very different from the usual 5 x 6 7/8 cards that I craft with. I have to admit, it's a challenge having a smaller canvas to work with, but I really liked it! I may order more. (And honestly, Iāll have to because these belonged to my Cards for Kindness stash... oops)</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H7-SVONc2II/YBCQYgIcOlI/AAAAAAAAEaE/O8-9p7LDI-oIwh2AXUN8YkG6eSmlPFXIQCPcBGAsYHg/s640/IMG_5877.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H7-SVONc2II/YBCQYgIcOlI/AAAAAAAAEaE/O8-9p7LDI-oIwh2AXUN8YkG6eSmlPFXIQCPcBGAsYHg/w400-h300/IMG_5877.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>I used this kitty Penny Black stamp for my first card. And of course, I forgot to write down which copics I used to color it. The hearts and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn dies I bought over holiday break. </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wqflulOmojY/YBCWPmxJzcI/AAAAAAAAEaQ/WetRIG4Gx8oHrw5p6-sRIdpc1QjD111DQCPcBGAsYHg/s640/IMG_5878.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="494" data-original-width="640" height="309" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wqflulOmojY/YBCWPmxJzcI/AAAAAAAAEaQ/WetRIG4Gx8oHrw5p6-sRIdpc1QjD111DQCPcBGAsYHg/w400-h309/IMG_5878.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>For my second card, I wanted to use one of the million Whimsy Stamp penguins that I spent so long coloring. For the record, I really hate fussy cutting images. Now I know why people spend so much on coordinating stamps and dies! </p><p><br /></p><p>Copic colors: C00, C1, C5, C7, C9, R20 and colorless blender. Still not 100% in love with the coloring, but getting there. </p><p><br /></p><p>For the background, I embossed the hearts using a Hampton Art stamp with Recollections white detail powder. Then I blended Shaded Lilac, Worn Lipstick and Scattered Straw distress ink over it. Lastly, I used the Lawn Fawn sentiment die.</p><p><br /></p><p>Hereās to celebrating Galentineās Day! </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PiWlWe-6a-A/UOz0ad59FUI/AAAAAAAABQw/5YtfS9UqTwkxTiX0UxGQut-0ZoxixFgxwCPcBGAYYCw/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PiWlWe-6a-A/UOz0ad59FUI/AAAAAAAABQw/5YtfS9UqTwkxTiX0UxGQut-0ZoxixFgxwCPcBGAYYCw/s320/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p><br /></p>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-10624117359718921192021-02-04T11:23:00.003-05:002021-02-04T11:30:05.588-05:00Sister-Sister Birthday <p>February 1st is my seeeeester-in-law's birthday and because she is one of my favorite people, I wanted to make something bright and fun. </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Hb_3iLcfmk8/YBmd3HFC3II/AAAAAAAAEcI/b4sFrX8tH602K70pBjeycX1CtewnxjcLgCNcBGAsYHQ/s2048/840FB1A8-BD0D-4EB3-9694-8BF52AB50DB9.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Hb_3iLcfmk8/YBmd3HFC3II/AAAAAAAAEcI/b4sFrX8tH602K70pBjeycX1CtewnxjcLgCNcBGAsYHQ/w300-h400/840FB1A8-BD0D-4EB3-9694-8BF52AB50DB9.jpeg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>I used one of my Whimsy penguins and I really wish they had dies because fussy cutting is so hard! Iām not the most tech savvy person and I had to learn a new program rather quickly. Thankfully, I was connected with someone who was somewhat of an expert and was very patient with my slightly frenzied e-mails. Whatās funny is that Iāve never even met this person! He works in a totally different department and if we were still in the office, I would just walk on down and say thank you. However, with circumstances as they are, I decided to craft him a thank you card instead. (Iām hoping he finds this sweet and not weird and invasive haha) </span></div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WGumxDR7laE/YBS5VquWw1I/AAAAAAAAEa0/9LX6xXZP16kL-rmIK1uLJX0fmbiGoHFtgCNcBGAsYHQ/s2048/FC35BD8E-9ACC-40C5-8A11-ADBF9ED6DC56.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WGumxDR7laE/YBS5VquWw1I/AAAAAAAAEa0/9LX6xXZP16kL-rmIK1uLJX0fmbiGoHFtgCNcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/FC35BD8E-9ACC-40C5-8A11-ADBF9ED6DC56.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>I wanted to work on my distress inks with this card. I recently purchased some Distress Oxides after I saw some amazing projects on my friend Rachelās IG but I got really bright colors and I didnāt want to send this guy a cotton candy looking thing. Instead, I pulled Wild Honey for the edges and then Scattered Straw towards the center. Before that though, I embossed the background using this Hero Arts cling stamp called Starry Night Brushstrokes. I then went over it with the distress inks. I used to use these a lot and I have no idea why I stopped! I definitely see myself purchasing more. </p><p><br /></p><p>I had this Thanks sentiment from a stamp pack and I put it directly on there using Memento black ink and honestly, I shouldnāt have done that because you could still see the white embossed swirls from the stamp. I should have stamped the sentiment on a separate piece of card stock and then raised it for dimension but I was afraid to ruin the card so I just used a Copic black marker to fill it in. Iāve been seeing so many cards with these huge die cut letters lately so I think I may invest in those for the future. </p><p><br /></p><p>Anyway, hope you are all having a good week. Do something nice for a stranger! We can all use some help right now. </p><p><br /></p><p><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ytHCtodXcgY/YBS-JIW7BXI/AAAAAAAAEbI/rD4sWJHvGSUsvqLAvoV4ytisq9EwPW8xwCNcBGAsYHQ/s759/C1E45222-AADD-4E78-8391-26E7E829336F.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="417" data-original-width="759" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ytHCtodXcgY/YBS-JIW7BXI/AAAAAAAAEbI/rD4sWJHvGSUsvqLAvoV4ytisq9EwPW8xwCNcBGAsYHQ/s320/C1E45222-AADD-4E78-8391-26E7E829336F.jpeg" width="320" /></a></p>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4097690377102307121.post-34365101820900807832021-01-17T17:40:00.002-05:002021-01-17T17:45:20.573-05:00Penguins!Before Christmas, I ordered some Penguin stamps from the Whimsy Stamps site. Crissy Armstrong designs the cutest penguins so I bought two general types that I could use with many different cards. I've looked up a lot of color combos for penguins and they're all difficult to blend if you ask me. And I've tried. <div><br /></div><div>A lot. </div><div><br /></div><div>I have more too. On the sides, I've written the copic colors I used trying to decide which combos I prefer. I know there are probably a million places on the internet I could go to to help me decide which colors go best together, but I'm still in the stubborn trial and error phase. </div><div><br /></div><div>And I know most of these look exactly alike, but I know they are different and some are sloppier than others. Like I said, practice makes perfect. Evidently, I need a lot of practice. <br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2W9RXYrl_30/YAS7P7RMbcI/AAAAAAAAEXc/zhfLXnJdsoEiaOE_2nrdVGaEqz3nF2RXgCPcBGAsYHg/s640/IMG_5773.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2W9RXYrl_30/YAS7P7RMbcI/AAAAAAAAEXc/zhfLXnJdsoEiaOE_2nrdVGaEqz3nF2RXgCPcBGAsYHg/w480-h640/IMG_5773.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WMOJQCxIxXw/WXtUAM5RQoI/AAAAAAAAC4k/skjXJI9EhtUCRY4vT7_aR1evODet_gDTwCPcBGAYYCw/s504/HappyCrafting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="278" data-original-width="504" height="221" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WMOJQCxIxXw/WXtUAM5RQoI/AAAAAAAAC4k/skjXJI9EhtUCRY4vT7_aR1evODet_gDTwCPcBGAYYCw/w400-h221/HappyCrafting.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div><br /></div>Fierypixiedusthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01470569050679217969noreply@blogger.com0
