Many of my friends have graduated this past May and while I would have liked to create cards for them all, I really only made one. My boyfriend's sister Michelle (yes, she has the same name. Rather convenient for him, I guess?) graduated from SUNY Albany and I made this card for her party-

I took plain black card stock for the left and used one of my handy Martha Stewart punchers on the side. The other side came from a Recollections paper pad I own that has many sparkly, fun sheets in it. GRAD is actually sparkly chipboard, though you can't really tell from the picture. Lastly, I bought some Jolee embellishments at Michael's because I was afraid I wasn't going to have time to create my own. To make the hats pop out a bit, I mounted them on silver, sparkly paper. (I'm a fan of sparkles, can you tell??)

I'm entering this card in the Cricut Cardz Challenge #109 where there are already some pretty amazing projects up! If you have a graduation card you've made, then make sure you enter too!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

As most of you know, I'm currently a grad student working towards my Masters in secondary education. I met my friend Risa because we were in a lot of the same classes. Most recently, we dealt with thesis stress together and all the while, Risa had been planning her wedding! I vaguely remember making her an engagement card awhile ago, but I wanted to make her a nicer wedding card. This is what I came up with-

I was really excited to use my new Bridal Shower cartridge for the dress along with some fun sparkly cardstock paper. I used a Martha Stewart paper puncher for the sides (trying to make it look "elegant"). The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs stamp set, Of Mice and Lil Men. I just got it and I feel like I'm going to be using it for many many more projects to come.

So I hope you liked the card and make sure you check out my Michael's giveaway!

Until next time, happy crafting, folks!

Welcome to the new lay-out for Cards by Mee Chelle!

First off, I owe a HUGE thank you to my web master friend Rachel who created my layout with these lovely colors! Check out her blog which is a mixture of book reviews and great photography! Also, thanks to my boyfriend JP for creating my lovely header and Mickey stamp! Where would I be without the creative people in my life?
