So this is my last of Valentine's Day cards (just in time to begin the month of March). This card isn't the normal red/pink/Love kind either which probably explains why I enjoyed making it so much! So I met my friend Rachel at a Bachelorette party. We had actually been speaking through Twitter and Blogger before that so she wasn't a complete stranger to me. What started out as a mere acquaintance via blog entries turned into a real friendship. We have lots in common and without her book reviews on her blog, I wouldn't know what books to read.

Hello Chelly is her twitter handle and I glitter embossed the Eiffel Tower in the middle because she had taken a trip to Europe with a friend and I had spent hours at work drooling over the pictures. The side with the lace paper is sparkly, but unfortunately, you can't really tell from this photo. I opted for a card with blue/yellow hues since she didn't strike me as the traditional Valentine's Day red gal (and she wasn't! We met up for a movie date on February 14th and she was wearing blue). P.S.- Do not rent or go to the movies to see The Vow. Just... don't.

Hope you all had a nice February! I am looking forward to Spring though and hopefully some not so bi-polar weather.

Til next time, Happy Crafting!

P.S.- Have you entered my super fun/super cool Giveaway? You should get up on that!
So I am super excited to announce my first ever Cards by Mee Chelle giveaway! For this giveaway you have my own impulsiveness to blame. When I look at all the amazing cards you guys make, I always pay attention to the part where you all list your materials. I saw some amazing cards being done with the Imagine More Cards cartridge and I went straight to Amazon to buy it.

It wasn't until I actually got the cartridge that I stopped to ask the question- could I even use it? Well, obviously I can't since I don't have the machinery so I have this brand spanking new cartridge to give away!

There are a few ways you can enter-

1. Follow my blog
2. Post my Button on your blog (This one is totally optional but let me know if you have one so I can post yours on mine!)
3. Enter a challenge at Made Especially For You! (This will also put you in the running for a prize in that challenge blog so it's a win-win)

This giveaway will begin on Tuesday February 28th and will run for two weeks to March 14th when I will choose a random winner. Make sure you leave me comments telling me what you did since I'm new to this Rafflecopter. Hope you guys can make some use out of this beautiful cartridge. Spread the word!!

Time for another weekly challenge at Made Especially for You! As always, this challenge runs from Monday to Sunday and this week was something new for me!

This week's card asks to create something using the technique of stitching whether real or faux.  Thank goodness for that- my stitching was definitely fake! Our sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe! Our winner will receive their choice of three sets of images so go on over and check out their awesome stamps and cutting images! Hope you all will come by and join in on the fun!

Now, onto what I came up with. I was lucky enough to use one of their images and I choose a four leaf clover for St. Patrick's Day. I made this for a coworker who is indeed, Irish.I used a new Martha Stewart paper trimmer and I finally got to use some oil pastels I bought to color in the clover. Wishing you all a lucky and lovely month!

Welcome to the next card challenge for Made Especially for You. This week's challenge is to create a card using three different papers- no more, no less! I find challenges like this to be lots of fun since paper layering always brings about great creations. The challenge runs from Monday to Sunday

Onto prizes! Our sponsor this week is Julie from 3 Girl Jam! The winner this week will receive a 2 piece bundle of crinkle ribbon.

This is what I came up with. A friend of mine got engaged the weekend before Valentine's Day and I wanted to make her an engagement card.

I used a sparkle patterned paper, black and plain grey paper. I found this adorable stamp at Michaels and I decided to glitter emboss it. To add some extra sparkle, I added some jewel embellishments. Here's hoping for a long, happy life for the lovely couple!

As promised, here are the Valentines I made for my coworkers. I kept the number small and really only gave them to the four ladies I spend most of my time with. I found some adorable stamps from Michaels and stuck to a red/pink template. I'd just like to say that for me, Valentine's Day is the hardest holiday to craft for. It just doesn't click for me, but I try my best!

Used some Stickles for their Wings!

So it's true that my boyfriend John Paul was my Valentine this year, but my Dad has been my Valentine every year since I was a little girl. He's been the one who got me flowers when stupid ex-boyfriends couldn't even buy me a 99cents card and of course, he's the guy who has always been there for me. So that is why I had to make this Knight card for him.

The paper came from the Once Upon a Time paper pads and the knight was made with my Everyday Paper Doll dress up cartridge. Out of all the men in my life, Daddy has definitely been my knight in shining armor. <3

Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's! Tomorrow I will post the cards for my coworkers. Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

I made this card for John Paul who is a big lover of all kinds of dice. He has a very big collection! He also has been asking me to make him something with my own hands, not something cut from the Cricut so I had to draw this. They are uneven and crooked, but he loved it just the same. The lyric "I'd Wager All," comes from The Decemberists and that song always makes me think of him because it was at that concert together where I knew I loved him.

I left the bottom blank where I wrote all the gushy love stuff I couldn't include here.

So there ya have it. We have very different schedules so I left it for him on the bed when I went to work. He texted me later to tell me he loved it (and me of course!)

Tomorrow I'll post the Valentines I made for my friends and for my forever Valentine- my Daddy.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Time for challenge number two over at Made Especially For You! This week's challenge will run from February 13th-19th. It is very simple- create a card using the following layout-

Our sponsor this week is Pattie's Creations. Check her out!! Our winner will get their choice of three digital images. I used one of Pattie's images for my own card!

This is the card I made and I realize it doesn't quite follow the sketch.... But I know you will all wow us with some great creations!

Yay! It's here! My first contribution for Made Especially for You!

Rules: This week's  challenge runs from Monday to Sunday (Feb 6-12th) and this one is to make a Valentine's Day card using a tag. The number of entries is unlimited as long as each card has its own post on your blog. There will be a randomly chosen winner each week along with a 'Top 3' chosen by the design team. The winner will receive the prize from our sponsor and the 'Top 3' will receive a badge to post on their blog.

Our sponsor this week is Decade of Scrap and the winner will receive up to three sets of digital Valentine's Day sentiments!
With the holiday right around the corner, that will definitely come in handy! Below is what I came up with. I used two different types of paper, placing the tag on top with the sentiment Soul Mates. I stamped two birds right above the red heart ribbon which I used my trusty ATG on. I made this card for my best friend, Monique who is MY soulmate.

Make sure you stop by the website Made Especially for You to check out the other amazing projects by the ladies of the design team. I hope you join in on the fun!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

I've talked about my college friend Kevin before and his awesome coloring mom. Today's card is dedicated to his Dad. I'm pretty much in love with his entire family. Mr. Kelly is without a doubt, one of the most generous people I know and along with my own father, he definitely deserves the father of the year award. For his birthday card, I wanted to make something Disney related since I have traveled to Walt Disney World with his family many times. We would stay at Old Key West and those vacations are some of my favorite ever. This is what I came up with-->

I just got the Disney Classics cartridge and it took me a while to make the Jiminy Cricket. Lots of little details that need tweezers! The blue blackground was put through my Cuttlebug and I used a folder that reminded me of stars and fireworks since most people (okay maybe just me?) think of Wishes! A Fireworks Spectacular when they see Jiminy Cricket. I used 3D zots so that he came off the page a bit. I'm pretty happy with the end product.

Now I have to go listen to the Wishes soundtrack. Til next time, Happy Crafting!
