Disney Week: The Original Duck

I am so excited to be a apart of this week of Disney Projects!

Just a reminder: This is not a hop... it is just a group of us crafters that have all promised to ONLY post Disney related projects on our site this week (including Hello Kitty, Pixar, Pooh, Sesame Street, etc.) Some people might post a new project every day; others may only get a few projects out all week, but we will all be showcasing DISNEY (or some other animated character).

There is a link list at the bottom of this post of all the Disney crafters playing along. Feel free to visit us this week and be inspired. :)

So onto my project. I actually cannot take credit for this project, but I needed to post it because I love it so much. When my now boyfriend and I first started talking, I told him I was a huge Disney fan-especially Donald Duck. From an early age, I related to Donald's fiery temper and we both had the tendency to laugh at our own jokes. JP was an art student studying Computer Animation, but he also drew and painted pretty damn well. On our very first date, he drew this Donald Duck using pastels for me.

Who's got the sweetest disposition?
One guess, that's who?
Who'd never, ever start an argument?
Who never shows a bit of temperament?
Who's never wrong but always right?
Who'd never dream of starting a fight?
Who gets stuck with all the bad luck?
No one - but Donald Duck!

Now it is framed and hangs in my bedroom. It is one of my most treasured possessions. Tomorrow, I promise to post something I actually made, but I just needed to show everyone how wonderfully creative and thoughtful my boyfriend is.

I hope everyone gets a chance to check out the other projects out there.I for one love any excuse to look at/make some Disney magic. =)
