March Sketch Challenge

I'm late, late, late to this week's challenge but here we go!

This week's Made Especially for You challenge is inspired by the following sketch-

Onto my card- 


This card is rather plain but every time I tried to keep to the sketch, it just looked very busy to me. The flags came from a stamp and I used embellishments from Recollections. This was a "just saying hello" card.

Birthday Wishes!

I recently made my supervisor this birthday card. Jumping on the twine bandwagon, I decided to challenge myself again with it and create another card with the hemp twine. As you recall, I'm not a fan of twine, but once again, thanks to my red, shiny brads, it wasn't too hard. (took me forever to figure out what they were called!)

I have no idea how this got so red, but it just sorta happened that way. The tag is from Ditto and the flowers are from Studio G. She really liked it and commented that she was gathering a collection of my cards on her desk. That made me happy.

St. Paddy's Day

This week's challenge at Made Especially for You is to create a St. Patrick's Day card using twine. As always, this challenge will run from Monday to Sunday. Not gonna lie-twine makes me nervous, but I was happy with how my card turned out.

For this card, I cut the shamrocks from my Paper Dolls Dress Up cartridge. I made two shamrocks, the first silvery one being slightly bigger than the green glittery one that I put on top. I used 3D Zots to give it a little something more. Then I tried stamping the sentiment in the middle, but the ink kept running on the paper so I made a smaller shamrock and stamped it on there. I tied the twine using a hole puncher and wrapped them around green tacks. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be actually. Hope you like it!

Thursday Craft 'n Chat - Composition & Color
